Expatriates & Our Community Role
Expatriates have long been a major subject of discussion in our society. What expats can contribute back to their homeland has always been a key focus. However, there is a stark reality today: expats themselves are rarely present to speak up about what can be done in return for expatriates, and the extent of the hardships they endure.
Edappal expats formed a collective under the name 'Edappalayam' to intervene and uplift expats at every stage of their journey—from arriving on a visit visa in search of jobs to the final phase of returning home.
Suitable Employment & Career Campaign
To bridge the gap between qualifications and job placement, Edappalayam launched a campaign focused on CAREER, PERSONALITY, & SOCIAL COMMITMENT starting right from high schools.
Initiated by distributing UNEP Disaster Risk Reduction Head Mr. Muralee Thummarukudy's book 'What to Learn and How to Get a Job' to school libraries, followed by career workshops and interview guidance for jobseekers abroad.
